As a leftist I agree wholeheartedly with you that the left is indeed, getting quite desperate.

The next scandal will be the accusation that McCain had a computer chip implanted in his brain when we was a POW by the NVA and that they are quietly biding their time until he can get into office to activate their mind control device.

Once this ploy falls through, our next scheme to derail the McCain steamroller/juggernaut will be to run interference by confusing the masses with nonsensical occurences. The first of these events will be called "Klingons in Congress". It will mostly entail a large number of klingons storming the congress. This will bring new meaning to the definition of a lobbyist, and there will be much yelling in Klingonee. There will be bat'leth competitions and of course the "eat until you puke" Gahk eating contest. I will be present for this, dressed as a klingon. As klingon lobbyists you can be quite assured that we will push for an aggressive militarist policy, proclaiming that all sentient creatures need to be brought under the heel of the Empire, especially after that unfortunate mining incident on Praxis.

After klingons in congress has run it's course (I don't think our bat'leths and disruptors will be much good against the police) we will enter our own "red-herring" presidential candidate called the Flying Spaghetti Monster. His platform will be that if he wins he will guarantee free pasta for everyone, and of course that his noodly appendage will protect all the good folks from terrorism.

Now that you know our plans for foiling McCain, can't say you weren't warned ahead of time!

What is obvious to the common man, CANNOT be obvious to them. For they libve on the manipulation of the law by sweet talking lawyer (note Edwards). So every word has to be dissected until it no longer even remotely resmebles the meaning (taken in context), so that some new law can be ajudicated, isntead of passed by legislation.

I dont see that as a scandal, just a minimization as they double speak (after Kerry in 04) about it. His war record can be minimized, but unless they come up with a commie officer who testifies he collaborated (or was brainwashed ala the Manchurian candidate), I cannot see it as a scandal.
