Florida Postmen get mail delivery break

on 3/18/2008 10:19:42 AM
Yes, it would seem the men and women of our US Postal Service in Florida will not have to worry about those extra letters they were gonna have to carry and deliver since the Democrats decided to abandon the idea of mail-in voting for Florida. For once […]

Obama thinks his middle name is offensive

on 3/8/2008 1:39:56 PM
Now how can anyone vote for a guy who won't even use his own middle name as part of his campaign to run for President of the US? Some people think others are making too much of this middle name thing, but I think it's important. Why are you ashamed of you […]

Working for the Devil

on 3/8/2008 11:12:01 PM
(Don't take the title too literally, I don't think Democrats are related to the Devil, but they come pretty close.) Every since I decided I needed a new vehicle I knew a second job wouldn't be too far behind. I started working for a guy who has a valet […]

I thought the GOP didn't care about the poor and veterans

on 2/8/2008 12:05:24 AM
Well, not according to foxnews.com where an article clearly states the Senate approved the stimulus bill and the GOP agreed to give checks to those who made less than $3000 and veterans. Strange, I was told the GOP and Bush didn't care about the poor and […]

Change, Democrats can't say it enough.

on 2/1/2008 7:10:13 PM
From Hilary Clinton, to Barack Obama, to Randy Roe. If I got a dime for every time Democrats say the word change, I'd make Donald Trump bank accounts look like chunk change. But when Democrats talk about change, what exactly do they mean? I mean, don't we […]

I am glad everyone gets a vote in the US, I just hope it is based on facts and not some golly gee whiz popularity contest cause my guy is hip or because we should try a woman for once

That's exactly how it will happen.  This election is being decided by several factors, one of which is the media which will do everything they can to help Obama.  I mean, they aren't even trying to hide their obvious support of him.

Even Obama supporters can't tell you his accomplishments or what he is really going to do to "change" your life.

Concerned? yes. But then the ignorance of the vast majority of americans is a chronic sickness.

With a direct affect to my wallet, now more than ever....I am frightened, well past concerned. To think some star-struck 18 year old that may not have even paid a dime in taxes yet could be the decisive voter this year sends shivers. I am glad everyone gets a vote in the US, I just hope it is based on facts and not some golly gee whiz popularity contest cause my guy is hip or because we should try a woman for once. Too many will vote on that basis alone. Then there will be no re-do's like FL and MI...we're stuck.

Barack Offensive Obama

BOO!!!
The voters need to take a hard look at all the candidates. That is what truly frightens me, the voter that votes on a whim or emotionally. Of course any concerns are automatically labeled “the politics of fear”. We’ll see if there is any buyer’s remorse next year.

It use to scare me too. Now, I just dont have the time to be scared. Concerned? yes. But then the ignorance of the vast majority of americans is a chronic sickness.

If you want to get technical I believe his first name "Barack" is Muslim too (I could be wrong). I think the people (at least on the left) have decided that his name is a non issue. I don't put too much stock in it myself. The thing that creeps me out a bit is that Obama sounds a little too much like Osama and it puts me off. There is something to be said if the USA’s enemies could vote in the election, who would they vote for? Why?

What voters should consider is that since his father was Kenyan and he still has a lot of family there how will that affect his judgment? Will Kenya get special treatment? If elected Obama may be the first president (as far as I know) whose father was not a US citizen/national. Will he try to grease the wheels for the folks back home? I don't hear much about the American half of his family. Do they support him? He seems to identify with his father’s side more, if the media can be believed (I haven't read his books...and don't see myself doing so).
