When an Attack is not an Attack Posted on Sunday, September 5, 2004 than I am. If you refer to Little Whip's post, Things You Should Know Before Voting, you will see Little Whip put up a composition (by another author) that states when we went to war in WWII that, "Germany had never attacked us." I countered that this was false and gave the specific example of the USS Rueben, sunk in Sep '41, with the loss of 115 lives. Someone told me I was wrong, that 100 people had lost their lives. I was going on my memory, but it turns out I was right:LinkLittle Whip replied that she assumed the author meant we had never been attacked on our soil. I pointed out that was a ridiculous position to hold - that "Germany never attacked us" because they never attacked us on our soil. I pointed out we had been attacked when the USS Cole was attacked. My post with that reply was subsequently deleted. There are two possibilities in my mind. One is that Draginol deleted it because he is insecure (this will be my next post). The other possibility is that Little Whip deleted it because she is not intelligent enough to come up with another response. The ideal response would be, "Yup. I see now that the author was wrong. Germany did indeed attack us and even declared war on us before FDR took us into war. I no longer support the author." Or, Little Whip can show us how smart she is by continuing to defend that an attack on a USS warship is not an attack on America.Or, Little Whip can ask Draginol to help her out and delete this particularly embarrasing thread.
