'Hypothetical' question Posted on Sunday, October 17, 2004 Lets say 'hypotheitcally' that you are in eigth grade. You are just leaving a school dance at 9 0'clock You see your friend and you start talking politics, hypotheitcally. He says that a kid named Chase has his dad on the school board and he is a libertarian. Then you find your mom waiting to pick you up. Then you see that Chase is parked next to you and is getting in his car to. So you , hypotheitcally, say Kerry for President and point to your KerryEdwards bumper sticker . Then his dad walks by looks you, hypotheitcally, in the eyes points to the bumper sticker and says "That is the epitome of the short bus". You, hypotheitcally, respond with a saracastic laugh and say "Ha Ha insulting little children, how low can you get?" Now you have the background story the question is... Do you report him? For those of you who don't know epitome, more or less, means poster child, and politically incorrect or not, the short bus implies the disabled or retarded. So this man on the school board not only degraded the disabled, but intimadated a student by saying he supported the poster child of retards and was flat out mean. Keep in mind the parents elected that man to represent the school. Do you tell the principal or the Dean of Students? I am, hypotheitcally, relying on someone to give me good advice.
