I just got Political Machine 2008 and tried to play a multiplayer LAN game. When I clicked Multiplayer, it told me an update was required. So my question is, do you have to be connected to the internet to play a LAN game? Most games I have played let you pick online or LAN first.
I bought the boxed retail version. I am not sure if this makes a difference with the Impulse program and everything. Is there a patch that lets you play LAN without connecting to the Internet? We have dial-up and on only one computer so internet play or even connection required for impulse is out of the question.
