Dems can't win an election legally - so they plan to steal it

Posted on Thursday, October 28, 2004
After numerous unsuccessful litigation attempts and plenty of whining and complaining from the liberal wing of the Democrats regarding the 2000 election, it appears the Democrats under Terry McAuliffe's tutelage, and with the help of ACORN, have decided on a new tact. First they made certain their Candidate would take the most recently popular stance and portray it as "thoughtful" and "complex". Secondly, they determined to offer little or no plan specifics but repeatedly use the phrase "I have a plan". Thirdly, they decided to criticize everything that the current administration did, or proposed to do, regardless of whether or not they agreed with or voted for it.

If the President increased Education funding by 50% - it was underfunded. If tax cuts helped get the economy out of a recession - it was a windfall for the rich. If low income workers could get a tax refund without paying any taxes - it was a windfall for the rich. If Senior prescription care was passed - it was for drug company profits. If there was a proposal to fix Social Security for younger workers - it was the mean intent to cut Senior benefits. If the deployment in Afghanistan was a success - they lost Bin Laden. If the deployment in Iraq captures a tyrant - there was no WMD. If there was 400,000 tons of explosives in Iraq destroyed - they didn't protect 3 tons of it. If waiting 12 years, sanctions and 17 UN resolutions don't work - it's a rush to war. If six months, one UN resolution and no sanctions don't stop genocide - we should be in the Sudan.

And if that doesn't work, we'll claim voters are disenfranchised and steal the election, with the help of ACORN (known to be well connected to the Democrat agenda), when they look the other way.

Director of Elections V. Kurt Bellman told the Board of Elections Thursday that there have been flagrant attempts at voter registration fraud.

"It’s absolutely out of hand," Bellman said. "Not only do we have unintentional duplication of voter registrations but we have blatant duplicate voter registrations."

Bellman said his office has had numerous calls from people who were registered through a group called the Association Communication Organization for Reform Now (ACORN), complaining that those taking down the voter information deliberately put inaccurate information on the form.

TALLAHASSEE — Law enforcement officials are investigating voter registration irregularities in at least three counties in Florida, and election supervisors fear that the problem is so widespread it could lead to massive confusion on Election Day.

Third-party groups, including tax-exempt organizations known as 527s that engage in political activity, have been conducting voter mobilization drives in an attempt to persuade new or apathetic voters to turn out in support of their causes — mostly Democratic — on Nov. 2.

When police at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport stopped a man for running a stop sign late last month, they found an unusual stash in his car trunk: More than 300 voter registration cards that had been filled out but never submitted to the Minnesota secretary of state. The motorist allegedly told police that he was an ex-employee of ACORN, a group that has been conducting a voter registration drive in Minnesota for a year.

The cards were turned in, Williams said, by someone affiliated with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), a group that represents low-income people. [only 19 cards in this instance]

Officials in Columbus are also investigating possible improprieties by an ACORN worker there.

ACORN has registered more than 1 million new voters nationwide, including 158,036 in Ohio, according to its Web site, www.acorn.org.

Theresa LePore vowed to close the Palm Beach County elections office at 5 p.m. Monday, the final day to register to vote in the Nov. 2 election, but a young man who arrived about 15 minutes after the deadline managed to drop off 550 applications on behalf of a group of Muslims determined to oust President Bush.

LePore, no stranger to confrontations, said the man demanded she accept the bundles of voter registration applications attached to slips of paper identifying them as having been collected by Voting Is Power, which goes by the acronym VIP and is an offshoot of the Washington-based Muslim American Society.
[VIP is a 527]

On the other hand the State Department has invited international observors to monitor the election.

Not surprisingly, much of the action is in "battleground" states. If George Soros can't buy the election, the press can't provide enough aid and the first phase doesn't work, the Democrats have a back-up plan. Thousands of John Edwards buddies are waiting in the wings to tie up, drag out every vote (unless of course it favors them, like the Philly precinct in 2000 that had 106% reporting).
